I love this place. It is close to my work and has great Pupusa's and Carne Asada Tacos. They are super friendly. Just a warning no A/C and no credit cards (cash only).
UPDATE: I wanted to update this review because I didn't think my original review does this place justice. I go here at least twice a month (usually on payday). The pupusas are awesome! I usually get a mixed pupusa, carne asada taco and the chorizo taco.
These tacos come traditional with just cilantro and onions. They give delicious cabbage and a tomato based salsa with the pupusas that my husband puts on everything.
They speak both Spanish & English. Great find! -

My first time at Pupuseria La Bendicion I was 4 months pregnant and nervous.
My order was taken immediately and the total price of 2 pupusas, 3 tacos and drinks was $15.
As I sat waiting I heard the rhythm of the pupusas being beat into shape ( pat, pat, pat, pat) almost like a doughy drum.
I zoned out wondering if that was my pupusa being made.
As I looked up there was the cashier bringing our tray of food.
With my first bite the pats intensified, second bite I was in euphoria.
As I added cabbage and lime I was lifting into nirvana.
I reached for a taco, the first bite was as just as amazing as the pupusa.
I slowly began alternating between pupusa and taco.
Before I knew it I was descending from cloud 9 with a full belly and a full wallet. -

This Salvadoran restaurant is a little known treasure in Cleveland. They cook authentic pupusas filled with your choice of chicharrón (roast pork), chicken, beans and or cheese. For those who are new to pupusas, a pupusa is a corn flour stuffed pancake filled with all kinds of goodies. It is the pan fried on both sides and served with a fresh cabbage pickle slaw that has a just a little chili heat.
One pupusa will set you back only $1.90!
I ordered chicken tacos and fries with ketchup and mayonnaise. The fries were amazing and a bit spicy like curly fires. The tacos were fresh with a lot of onion and cilantro, but the chicken, while spiced well, tasted a little dry. I washed this feast down with not one, but two tall glasses of horchata, a spiced rice milk drink with cinnamon.
The restaurant had about 10-12 booths and is in a non-descript location next to a convenience store. It is clean and the owners and staff are attentive and take pride in heir work. The restaurant's men is over 8 pages, so I know I will be back to try other dishes.
If you have a craving for super tasty Salvadoren food, check out La Pupuseria Bendicion. But come early as they close by 9 pm most nights! -

Excellent food - best street tacos in CLE. Filled with meat, onions and cilantro and only $2.00 each. Pupusa is excellent too. Didn't love the tamale but that was ok..the plantains made up for it. Highly recommend this place. Food was fresh and served piping hot!!

Oh my goodness, the food here is amazing! It's a small place, only about 6 tables and I'm not even sure they take credit cards. As others have said, it takes a little bit of time for the food to be prepared but once you get your food you will LOVE it!
Three of us ordered 3 pupusas (you have to try them, of course), 2 tacos, 1 torta, and a platter that came with chicken, shrimp and beef among other side dish items (beans, rice, salad etc.). The pupusas come with a delicious spicy slaw (the highlight of the meal for me!) and a mild red salsa. Tacos come with a spicy red salsa. Our total bill was less than $35 and we had a full table of food. It was all amazing and filling and I am totally looking forward to coming back here again!
